Add Shipments

The Add Shipments feature is a vital component of the Iron Ore Procurement System Software, designed to help users track, record, and manage raw material shipments across various processing facilities. This tool provides comprehensive data entry and management capabilities for monitoring supply chain operations and material flow throughout the iron ore processing chain.

1. Shipment Data Entry

The system allows users to add detailed shipment records for various iron ore processing operations:

Facility Types

  • Beneficiation Facilities: Iron ore beneficiation plants that process raw ore into sinter feed
  • Pelletizing Facilities: Pelletizing plants that convert pellet feed into iron ore pellets
  • DRI Facilities: Direct Reduced Iron plants that process pellets into DRI

Shipment Data Fields

  • Shipment Date: Date of shipment arrival or processing
  • Facility Selection: Choose the specific processing plant or facility
  • Raw Material Type: Type of material being shipped (Sinter Feed, Pellet Feed, or Pellet)
  • Supplier Information: Track which supplier provided the material
  • Quantity: Shipment volume in metric tonnes

2. Multi-Facility Management

Users can record detailed shipment data for multiple facilities simultaneously:

Facility-Specific Shipments

  • Individual Facility Tracking: Each facility has its own shipment entry section
  • Material-Specific Quantities: Track different raw materials for each facility
  • Supplier Attribution: Link shipments to specific suppliers for traceability

Batch Processing

  • Multiple Entries: Enter shipment data for multiple facilities in a single session
  • Bulk Submission: Submit all shipment data at once for efficient data entry
  • Validation: System validates all entries before submission

3. Facility and Material Organization

The system supports comprehensive facility and material management capabilities:

Facility Organization

  • Categorized Facilities: Facilities are organized by type (Beneficiation, Pelletizing, DRI)
  • Tabbed Interface: Easy navigation between different facility types
  • Dynamic Material Loading: Raw materials are loaded based on facility type

Material Type Mapping

  • Beneficiation Facilities: Track Sinter Feed shipments
  • Pelletizing Facilities: Track Pellet Feed shipments
  • DRI Facilities: Track Pellet shipments (filtered to show only Pellet materials)

Supplier Integration

  • Supplier Information: Each raw material is linked to its supplier
  • Supplier Display: Supplier names are shown alongside material quantities
  • Traceability: Complete supply chain traceability from supplier to facility

4. User Interface and Validation

The shipment management system includes user-friendly interface features and robust validation:

Responsive Design

  • Mobile Optimization: Full functionality on mobile devices with touch-friendly controls
  • Desktop Enhancement: Enhanced interface for desktop users with larger screens
  • Adaptive Layout: Interface adapts to different screen sizes

Data Validation

  • Required Fields: Ensure all necessary fields are completed
  • Data Type Validation: Validate numeric quantities and proper date formats
  • Quality Control: Ensure at least one shipment value is entered
  • Error Handling: Clear error messages and success notifications

This comprehensive shipment management system provides the foundation for effective supply chain tracking and material flow management in iron ore processing operations.
